Before sending your submissions, please review the general submission criteria and the specific requirements of the category to which you are submitting.

2015 Criteria Changes
General Overview
Submitters are no longer required to pay a membership fee to submit to industry-only categories.

Requirements for a submission's jury video has been added to all criteria. The requirements for nominees' voting videos has not changed. The word "recording" is used for all submission media to audio-specific categories.

The word "Canadian" has been added to all categories to clarify that these awards are specifically for content made in Canada or by Canadians.

It should also be noted that the purpose of this awards process is to celebrate comedic content. Therefore, submissions should be content designed to make an audience laugh.
Long Format
Other than the addition of submission video criteria, no changes have been made to Long Format categories.

Short Format
Conjoined TV/Web categories have been split based on their platforms. There are now TV-only categories and Web-only categories.

All TV categories have had their date range criteria shifted from the previous TV season to the previous calendar year.

All TV categories have had their minimum number of episodes increased from 2 to 4.

The word "serialized" was removed from the Best TV Show category to clarify that variety formats are eligible in this category.

All Web categories have had their minimum number of episodes decreased from 5 to 4.

The words "Special or" have been added to Best Comedy Short to clarify that the category is for any single product under 60 minutes in length, including TV specials.

The audio-only categories of "Best Radio Program or Clip" and "Best Podcast" have been replaced by "Best Audio Show or Series" pertaining to any audio content broadcast on radio or released on the internet. The previous categories' criteria has been applied with this new context.

The words "or Special" have been added to the TV writing and direction categories to open these categories up to single products not created as part of a series.

The category "Best Ensemble Performance in a TV or Web Series" has been removed.

Live Format
The category Best Variety Act has been added. This category is for any artist to which the criteria for stand-up, sketch or improv do not strictly apply.

The platforms for Best Taped Live Performance have been expanded to include radio, public screenings or digital releases.

With the exception of Best Taped Live Performance, the minimum runtime of live performances in all Live categories has been reduced from 30 minutes to 20 minutes.

With the exception of Best Taped Live Performance, Best Comedic Play, Revue or Series and Best One Person Show, the minimum amount of live performances that must have been performed in Canada in all Live categories has been reduced from 8 to 4.

The phrase "without regard to the number of years the artist has been active in the industry" has been added to Best Breakout Artist to clarify that this award is for any artist at any point in their career.

The sentence "Submissions of artists submitted by third parties require the approval of the artist." has been added to Best Breakout Artist to clarify that, because artists may only qualify for submission twice in their lifetime, the permission of the artist is required when submitted by a third party.

Submission Videos
