Joe Bodolai To Receive
The Phil Hartman Award

August 17, 2015 (Toronto) - The Phil Hartman Award for outstanding lifetime contribution to the Canadian comedy community will be presented as part of a special tribute to the late writer/producer/director Joe Bodolai.

The tribute is part of the 16th Canadian Comedy Awards to be held in Toronto at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

The founder of the award, Phil's brother Paul Hartman, described the rationale for the decision: "Joe's contribution to the Canadian comedy community is legendary. His work on Saturday Night Live and Wayne's World solidified him as a funny guy, but his work on the series COMICS! and his commitment to getting a comedy channel on air makes him a truly deserving recipient of this prestigious award."
